Mindfulness & Positive Psychology

Having experienced the daily benefits of mindfulness and positive psychology for over twelve years, Eilís had a desire to teach and pass these skills on to other people. She is excited to teach mindfulness and positive psychology to help one person at a time and to give people a pathway to a better quality of life, reduced stress and greater emotional and mental well-being. 

In 2017, Eilís studied for a Diploma in Mindfulness and Positive Psychology over 15 months with The Irish Mindfulness Academy.  Her courses include a blend of evidence-based tools and learnings to help support the Mindfulness practice:

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

  • Neuroscience

  • Positive Psychology

Furthermore, Eilís is a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor and has completed an advanced module in CBT, studying the third wave of CBT. The third wave of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Schema Therapy.

She is also a qualified Yoga Teacher (mindful movement, breathwork, meditation and mantras) and has completed QQ1 Train the Trainer Level 6 certificate on training, delivery and presenting.
